There are lots of great opportunities to get together with your CBJ friends and neighbors over the summer.
While our synagogue schedule may slow down during the summer months, our community is still active. There are lots of great opportunities to get together with your CBJ friends and neighbors over the summer.
We will continue our potluck Shabbat dinners here at CBJ on Friday, July 17, and Friday, August 21. Bring a dairy dish to share and invite your friends. Outdoor services, wine, challah, and home-cooked dishes—what could be more relaxing?
As always, most cities hold local summer concerts in the park. These are a great way to get together with other CBJ members from your neighborhood. Just pick a date and tell us where you’ll be setting up your picnic blanket. We’ll get the word out to the others in your neighborhood to come join you.
If you have an idea for an activity and want some company, just let us know. Going camping or for a hike? To a baseball game? Bike ride? Picnic? We’ll send out a note to others in your neighborhood or with similar interests so you can meet up. Summer is also a great time to get your kids together with others from their Religious School class in a casual setting, and we can help you plan a little reunion.
The staff spends the summer gearing up for the fall, so if there’s something you’d like to see on next year’s calendar, the time to tell us is now! If you’re looking for a new class or activity, or hoping to add a new element to your Jewish practice, be sure to let us know how we can help. Have a great summer. We hope to see you often!
