In her poem “To Begin With, the Sweet Grass,” Mary Oliver offers astute spiritual reflections on the human condition and on how we might grow into our best selves. Reading the poem as prayer, four community rabbis will discuss and share the meanings and teachings for the High Holidays that they discover within it.
Rabbi Lavey Derby, PJCC’s Director of Jewish Life, will moderate a discussion with Rabbi Lisa Delson of Peninsula Temple Sholom, Rabbi Ilana Goldhaber-Gordon of Congregation Beth Jacob, Rabbi Corey Helfand of Peninsula Sinai Congregation, and Rabbi Laura Rumpf of Peninsula Temple Beth El.
