Prayers for Peace

Peninsula Multifaith Coalition is holding a Prayers for Peace and Potluck Picnic on September 2, 2019, at Twin Pines Park in Belmont, behind City Hall, off 6th Ave. near Ralston Ave. Signs will be posted directing you to the reserved picnic area.
Please join in! It promises to be a beautiful celebration of our Peninsula Multifaith Coalition’s commitment to building a world of peace in these troubled times. Representatives from each of our seven faith traditions (Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh and Bahai’) will share their prayers, some with chant or song, some with translations or none, all with the intention of showing clearly how deeply we respect our diversity and honor our shared commitment to creating and living in a peaceful world.
After our time of prayer, from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. we’ll have a potluck picnic with all invited to bring food to share while we get to know one another, play games and share music. PMC will provide the drinks and paper products. Folks may want to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs, games and musical instruments, and, of course, food to share.
