Sukkot is a seven-day holiday that asks us to think about the idea of “home” and what it means to have a roof over our heads. It also reminds us to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. Join the CBJ Sisterhood outdoors in our Temple’s Sukkah to taste kosher wines, nibble on cheese and crackers, and rejoice, reconnect and celebrate Sukkot. In addition, members of the CBJ refugee resettlement committee will share about a family from Russia whom we have been matched with through a national program.  We have already helped the family find local housing, registered the two children in school, and found ESL courses for the parents.  With Sukkot in mind, we are having a housewarming theme to help the family settle in their new home.  If you are so inclined, please bring a gift card* which we will present to the family.   This is a co-ed event; please feel to bring an adult significant other.
